The aplec — the traditional Catalan gathering at a country chapel — is la Coma's most living tradition: every summer, around 25 July, Saint James's day, the family and the people of Moià walk up to the hermitage for mass, reunion and the circle dance beneath the cypress. This page is our collective album: we will keep adding each year's photographs and films, along with historic images of past aplecs as we recover them.
The year of the return
The year we opened la Coma to the world: the website, the first members and the first sponsors of the 44 plane trees. Mass inside the nave with the altarpiece lit, the reunion at the Baroque portal of “Francesch Coma, 1683”, and the dance as always — all captured in the film of the year.

Our oldest dated memory
The oldest dated photograph we have of the aplec: family and friends gathered at the same portal of “Francesch Coma, 1683” — twenty-seven years before we returned with this website.
Photographs waiting to be unveiled
A small family mystery: these even older images have reached us with no name and no date. The two black-and-white ones, with so many seminarians and communion girls in front of the portal and the decorated altarpiece, look to be from the mid-20th century — but no one can confirm it. Zoom in: you might recognise someone, or spot a detail that helps us work out the year.
